What Home Means To Me.

At home, I see the loving eyes of people that care for me. At home, I taste amazing meals cooked by the family. At home, I smell my puppy’s bones, but it smells just fine. At home, it looks cozy, just like it should, because it’s mine. At home, it sounds like people having fun and my puppy’s loud barks of joy. It’s the place I can be me and can breathe. It makes me sad that people don’t have what I do. It makes me sad because all people should have the same thing, a house, and not be on the street like a mouse. It makes me sad, that people are glad, for what they have, and don’t think about others. I hope people now see, how important it is to me, that people are out on the street. I hope more people like me will be grateful for what we have. I hope that Habitat For Humanity will give that opportunity to others who don’t have shelter. I hope my poem will help build a house.
