What does home mean to me?

A house is something that many people have, but what is a home? Everybody has a different definition of a home, but my definition of home is a place to be loved, safe and secure, and where support is. I will be showing you my definition of what home means to me. It's not just a place to live and have a roof over your head. It's a place where you relax, feel loved, and make memories. I always feel loved in my home, whether going to bed at night or waking up in the morning. I think home is a place to be with family, and my family brings me a lot of love. We make so many memories together, so I will always and forever feel loved at my home no matter what. Many people have no love either because they are widows, their children moved out, their friends died, or they are divorced, and their home becomes more of a house. I think love and home are related because a home is just a house without love. When you're at home, you have a sense of belonging and comfort, bringing in even more love. Security and the feeling of safeness are examples of what you get from home. I feel safe in my home because I have friends and family right by my side if anything happens. The walls around the house make me feel relaxed, as I can be myself without judgment; this makes me love my home even more. A home makes you feel secure, and it feels like there is a foundation to keep you safe from the outside world. When people don't have a home, they worry about security and safety. When you are in familiar surroundings, a person feels protected from external dangers, and others can't turn their anger on you, giving a person a sense of well-being. Support is a beautiful feeling that comes from home. When you obtain support, you will feel thankful for the encouragement and affection from everyone supporting you. It is something you get from home, whether it's getting back from work and your family is supporting you that you are doing a good job. Or it's from the encouragement that you will do extraordinary on a math test. In a home, you can hang out, play board games, watch a movie, and talk about your day; these are things that help a person feel encouraged and a sense of belonging. When you have support, it's like a brick wall pushing you out and helping you stay safe. You always have compassion from your family in your home, no matter what, and that is so reassuring, it gives a person a sense of belonging. For me, home isn't a place to live but a place to be with family, friends, and essential people in your life. A place where you make so many memories. What home is for me is a place to be safe and secure, loved, and supported. I am blessed and extremely loved at my home. Many unfortunate people don't have a home. I feel very sorry for these people because I know how much my home means to me. It is a place to be secure and safe, a place to feel loved, a place to make beautiful memories, and a place where you feel supported.
