What Home Means

What is home? Personally speaking, I think a home is your life in a building. I have come to this conclusion because, during the Covid pandemic, my home, and many people's home's are now not just a place to live but are schools, sports pitches, dance classes, restaurants, science labs, offices, yoga studios, gyms, movie theaters, daycare centers, art studios, the go-to hangout spot, a place of faith and family gathering and oh so much more. One thing we need to understand is the size of it doesn't make it feel like home or not, what makes a home is a feeling of safety, family or friends, love, and acceptance. These are not things you have to earn; they are things that every person deserves to feel. People all over the world should be able to go to bed with not even a single worry about their safety. Everyone deserves to go to bed knowing someone cares about them. In actuality, I believe these are the true feelings of home. In conclusion, a home can be many things, but to me, it's not just a building but a place where we build memories, and relationships with the people we care about most.
