House or Home

Some think they are the same, some think that they are the exact opposite. A house is just a building that is intended for living, a home is a house that is being enjoyed. A home has personal things, a house does not. A home has people, a house does not. A home is a place where you feel feelings, learn teachings, and are comfortable. Houses are not. Houses are like empty cardboard boxes, homes are like boxes filled with things you love. A home can be big or small or even in between, but to feel loved is what a home truly means. Houses have walls and homes do too, but homes have life, both old or new. Home means a community, differences and memories. A place to go for a nice walk, or maybe draw with sidewalk chalk. Some people come from broken homes, and they can not fix them alone. They might need help both day and night, but we can put up a good fight. A fight for love a fight for peace, a fight to help them pay their lease. Friends and homes just go together, homes don’t always last forever. That is why we need to help, so others can put books on a shelf. Homes should be full of calming smells, like a cozy warm blanket or macaroni shells. Food is for home and home is for food. Home’s not for bad attitude. Pets are friends for when nobody’s there, for when people make fun of the clothes that you wear. Pets help make a house a home, even if they like to roam. Home is for sunshine, home is for life, homes may be full of challenge or strife. This is why you need some unity, just to spell the word community. Family, friends, and neighbours too, they can help you through and through. Sometimes life can be quite tough, when in your home there is no stuff. No couch, no bed, no stuffies either, no more clothes to put in the dryer. To build a home there is no recipe, except to spend time with your family. Fill your home with plants and colour, sunshine, warmth, and love for each other. The greatest thing about my home is that I am not here alone. There is a brightness in this place, I love my community, no mistake. I do not take it all for granted, even if my roof were slanted. Some people live on a private island, or in a castle on the highland. Yes, these houses are quite great, but mine is too, I'm sure you relate.
