What Does Home Mean to Me

To me, home is a place, or a feeling of love, and safety. Home is also a place where I make memories. Home is a place where I come home to every day, and lay in my safe warm bed. Home is where my loved ones are, like my mom, or my dad, my sister, or my pets. Home is a place where you can feel inner warmth and safety all the time. Home is a cozy place where you can be yourself. But, home is not always a house, or an apartment. Home can be your school, or a place you go, like an arcade, or a restaurant. If it is where you can be yourself, and where you feel safe, and loved, it is perfectly normal to call it home. Sometimes, people are home. People you love with every bit of you. People you feel safe and secure with. People who make you feel like you’re home when you’re with them. You’re lucky if you find someone you can call home. For me, my home is my mom and dad. I feel safe, and loved when I’m with them. Not specifically their house. Just their love and care for me. Because home is not a place. It is a feeling. The feeling might be in a place. But home is a feeling that makes you feel welcomed, and loved. That is what home means to me.
