What Home Means To Me

Home is like something special that not everyone can have. For example, if you have a special toy or a special person in your life, your home is like the same but different because it is one of a kind. Everyone sees their home differently. Some people see their home as just walls and a roof, but for me I see my home as not a thing or an object. I see it as a privilege to be able to stay warm at night or have a place to eat and see family. Home is somewhere you can be yourself and you don't need to pretend to be someone you’re not, just to be liked or to be a favorite. You can be yourself no matter the cost. We stand together as a family with grace and peace and hope for the best for you and me. Home is where I live, home is where I play with siblings and lay when it's been a long day. And most importantly home is where I hopefully stay. My home place may move and my address will get changed, but that is not what matters. What matters is the memories that we have had and all the stuff I had done with the time I got to stay. People have different stories but all of them have their differences whether it is they got adopted or they are rich or poor and happy or sore, who knows what the story is behind it all. I guess we'll just have to wait, listen and see. My hope with this poem is to raise enough money for those that need homes. We all have our differences and that's okay. Try your best, do what's right and be happy!
