What My Home Means To Me

What home means to me is not just some “little white house” on a quiet street. It was around before I was born. It is a part of me, it is somewhere I feel safe and have somewhere to go. It will protect me and save me from the world’s dark, black roads as the cars fly by, not caring to see if they might hit me. When I go home, I feel safe from the danger; I lean up against the wall and hang my wet coat on a thin, white hanger out of the rain. I know I am safe with a house to protect me so I don’t get shaky. It may be old, it may be new, it can have some cracks to let the rain get through. If it breaks, it is time to let go and go find somewhere new and start a new home. Though I may never stay in one spot, I will never forget how my home changed me a lot.
