Home

Home is not just a room with four walls and a roof. You can feel comfortable and safe. You should not have to worry about the cold outside or the hot outside. Home is where you can be protected from the harsh weather outside. We should all be able to feel safe and protected in a place where we call home. You can sleep at home without worries. At home you can feel the warmth of your family and the love from them. There is no need for you to feel shy. You can be yourself at home without worries about being judged. You can taste all the delicious home cooked meals made by your family. At my home I can hear my loud little brother being himself like he should be able to do. At home my older brother can express himself. My parents can discuss all the important things to us in privacy. You can have your own space and not share with people. At my home I watch movies with my family. At home I can come in after playing in the snow and warm up by the fire and drink hot chocolate. At home when you feel sad your family is there to make you happier. When it is hot outside, you can come in and cool down. Everyone deserves a home. At home you can see your happy healthy family all the time. You can eat all the home cooked meals your parents make you and sit around the dinner table with your family. It is a place you can go when you are feeling low. You can go home when you feel sick at school and rest and heal at home. No one is there to judge you at home. There are no bullies at home. Home is a safe sanctuary with no harm. A home is where you can invite friends and family to be with you. Home is a place to let out all your emotions and be yourself. At home you can make memories. Home is a safe place with no danger. No threats towards you. At home you celebrate holidays and birthdays with laughter and comfort with your family. During holidays you do fun things with your family at home. You make special family traditions at home that you repeat every year. Everyone needs a home so that is one of the many reasons I wrote this essay. Habitat for humanity is a great organization that is helping build homes for people who don’t have a home. Habitat for humanity is an amazing group of kind and generous people. I hope this will help build homes for people who don’t have one. Everyone needs a home because it is a basic right.
