What Home Means to Me

What is home? Home means a lot of things to me. I’m lucky to have family, friends, and a place to call home. Home is a place to be close to your family and your loved ones. My favourite time of year is Easter and Christmas and the reason is because I get to see my grandparents from New Brunswick. We spend time as a family and make lots of memories. Some examples are when me and my grampy tease each other and we all talk and laugh as a family. Another thing that I’ll always remember is when me and my mom watch old movies together. My home makes me feel safe from snow storms, thunderstorms, and also safe from the cold. On cold stormy nights I like to wrap up in my blankets and watch tv while I warm up. Another thing that makes me feel safe is my room. I love my room because I have a warm and cozy bed. When I get under my warm blankets and watch tv or talk to my friends it makes me feel relaxed and happy. Lastly, love. Love is the most important thing about a home. Home is a place you are loved by your parents, siblings, and your pets. Love is the most important part about a home. If we were not loved we would be sad and lonely. I always feel loved at home when my mom and dad hug me, when they giggle with me, and spend time with me. I’m very lucky to have a home. There are so many people in the world that are homeless and need a place to call home. That’s why everyone should step up and help people in need.
