Anywhere Is Home

Home is a funny word to me. It’s a word that sticks with you forever, from the minute you were born, until the moment you die. I was born in my house and the second I came into this world, I knew this is where I will walk, sleep and learn how to be me. Home can be anywhere in my mind. Home is my neighbourhood because there is always a place for me to go to play with my friends and say hi to my neighbours. My house is my castle, every night my mom puts me to bed, gives me a kiss on the cheek and says “You are the best little boy I could ever ask for, you are my superhero.” My dad gets in trouble with my mom because he gets me all wild just before bed, then I can’t go to sleep. I can’t imagine what it would be like not having a home. I wish everybody could have a home so everyone is happy, but I know that would be very hard for some. My house is also special to me because it is a place you can let everything out, your troubles, sadness, everything! I always try to remind myself that I am so lucky to have a home. I would like to figure out how to help people who might not have a home and I know I have already started by writing this paragraph. I know everyone deserves a home to find peace and make a wonderful life.
