What home means to me

Home is a feeling that makes you happy and comfortable. For me home is more than a house. It is a place that shelters me and cuddles me with love. My home is where my family is. A family might be big or small. A family might just be three or four people, but for me it’s five. My family consists of my brother, sister, mom, dad, and myself, in our home. My family fills my house with love and joy. It would not be the same without my mom's baking or my dad's jokes. Even things I do not like, like my sibling's fighting or my parents' rules, help to make my house a home. There is a difference between a house and a home. You may live in a house but is it really home? Do you feel comfortable in it? Home is where you can say how you feel, and where you are loved no matter what. A home makes you feel safe when the world outside is scary. A home is more than just a building. It is a feeling of warmth and love surrounding you. I have a house to shelter me and a cozy bed to sleep in. I am so thankful for all I have. I have my family and my pets, and together they help make this house a home.
