What Makes a House a Home? By: Hannah Wiatowski A house is a shield that protects us from rainstorms or tornados. Well then, a home makes us feel comfortable when the rain is pouring outside. It makes you feel calm and has all your favorite memories in the home. When I come home from a long day of school, I ride the bus, then walk to my house that looks like it has been rained on all day. Suddenly, when I walk through the door, inside I see a home! I see my mom cooking a meal for us to enjoy when its dinner time. I see my dad coming through the door from a long day of work. I look all around, and I see pictures of family and friends. I walk up the stairs to my bedroom and lay on my comfy bed. Home is feeling, and all that right there was the feeling that your supposed to get in a home! But other people don’t have that feeling, so we must help those people to gain the warm cozy feeling. A house is a roof with four walls, but a home is in those four walls and one roof. It does not matter if your home is too big or too small, you can love a home were ever you are. When I lay in bed and the sun goes down I think of those who are all around Who need a safe place, just like I have A home they need one too A place where they can store memories Just like me and you Those people with a sad face We can make it into a bright, beautiful, colorful smile!
