The Meaning Of Home
Every time when someone mentioned the word home, I used to think of a building. Ever since I started this project, I have realized home isn’t just a building. Now I think home is somewhere I can feel loved, comforted and happy.
Home is a place made with love. As I walk in my house, I give my parents lots of hugs and kisses. My puppy runs up to me wagging her tail. When she comes to me she is so happy to see me! She chases me around the house and somehow manages to trip me so that she can give me kisses. My sister helps me make my lunch. She cares a lot about me. That is how I feel loved in my home.
At home I feel comforted. To me comfort means coming home to a warm house. Watching a movie with my family and eating popcorn in the living room with the fire blasting gives me comfort. Knowing that there will be food put out on the table and having clean water makes me feel safe. That is what makes me feel comforted at home.
At home I feel happy. When I see my mom, my dad, my sister, my cat and my puppy it makes me so happy. I would be lonely without them. I don't know what it would be like if I did not have my family. Having a bed to sleep in makes me happy. If I did not have a bed to sleep in I would have to sleep on the floor so I am happy to have a bed to sleep in. I am happy to have a house even with a comfortable bed I would be happy.
Now I understand the difference between a home and house. Now I am done this project and I understand way more the difference between a home and house. Habitat For Humanity is a great way to help people afford a home. I hope Habitat For Humanity will keep helping many more people in a good way.
