The Walls Around Me

On the cold, windy, and snowy days I prefer to stay inside, Warm and cozy in my home With the strong, thick walls around me. I am lucky, privileged No worry about food or having a roof over my head. I can be and become myself With the safe and nourishing walls around me. From my pillow I see The sun climb up into the sky. An awesome day ahead, playing. Mothers Nature's Trees stand around me. When things go wrong And I feel like crying My family is there, With their support and love around me Everybody deserves a home.
