Home

To me home means lots of things. Home is a place where you are not scared to be yourself. You can be as “weird or “different” as you want and you feel comfortable with doing so. A place where after a day of school or work you can see friends or family. A place where you always have people to be by your side. Home is a place where you are free. You feel like you could go anywhere. Home is where you do not feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. You know your home when you feel like you belong. You feel like you know the place. Home is a place that holds your memories. As part First Nation, Canada has always been partly my home. It is a place that holds most of my ancestors' memories. I am also part German, it is a place where my Opa (great grandpa) and my Oma (great grandma) felt safe. It is a place where you feel safe, you are not scared. Home feels like home, you know when you are there. Home is a place you can always be yourself, a place with friends and family, a place where you are free, and a place where you feel safe. Home is a great place that has many different meanings.
