What Home Means to Me

What does home mean to me? Home is a warm hug from my mom when I’m feeling sad. It’s a place where I’m always welcome even if I’m being weird. Home is a place where I can escape if I need to, and be myself. It’s a place where I’m safe. I’m lucky to have something that makes me so happy. But sadly, some people don’t have homes. They live on the streets by themselves. They’re alone, and some people say bad things about them. If they had a home, they would be safe. They would be warm, and wouldn’t have to worry about food. I’m writing this because it will help others have homes like mine. They will know what it's like to be warm, to not feel the hunger pains, to be safe. Home means everything to me, because I get to have all these important things I need, and I’m grateful for that. That’s what home means to me.
