Home

Home By: Georgia Rudderham You may have a house, but that might not be your home. You might live in an apartment, a boat, a mansion, a car. But these places aren’t necessarily your home. To me, home means that you know you are safe, loved, and wanted. I have many places I connect to home. Because when I feel at home, I feel like there are many things connected to this place that make it a home. Food is primarily what brings people together. I love family feasts that I have, with not just my parents and sister, but with all of my family. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, the whole lot. I love the feeling of knowing that people are coming for supper, because when I am with my family, I am at home. I have lots of memories I connect to home. Like remembering the holidays, visits, trips that I have spent with the people I love. I connect my friends to home. They are funny, helpful, and really know how to cheer me up when I am not in the greatest mood. I also love family movie nights, game nights, and baking with the people I love. My pets are a big part of home because they are definitely easy to talk to. And they are really fun to play with and cuddle with. All the things I connect to home are things that a lot of people probably connect to home. I love my house. It is definitely my home. It’s quiet, warm, cozy, and perfect. I love where I live, and to me, to love a place so much, is what home means.
