Meaning of Home
What makes my home, a home. A home should be a place where you find love and you feel welcome. What makes my home is my family, the deer in my backyard, and fighting with my brother.
One of the biggest reasons my home feels like home is the people…. my family. My big brother, he can be mean sometimes but no matter what he does I still love him and I think he loves me. He hasn’t said it yet, but maybe one day.
My mom is the best. She is always there for me, she always cooks for me, and she helps me when I'm sad. What I'm trying to say is that she does a lot for me. Finally, my dad. Yes, we all know that sometimes dads can be a pain in the butt, but no matter what he is still your dad. My dad and I have a confusing relationship. He works 3 jobs so he's not always home and when he is home most of the time he's cranky. He's still my dad and no matter what I will always love him. Without these people my home would not feel like home.
Another reason that makes my home, a home, is the animals in the backyard… mostly the deer. I love seeing them because they just make my day. You might wonder why they make my day? Well, they make my day because they are soooo cute and when their tails wag oh my gosh it is the cutest thing I have ever seen. In the summertime, when they come, I love to give them apples and carrots. It's not very often that I see one with dots, but when I do I think that it gives me good luck. Anyway, sometimes I wish that I see them more often so I can get good luck. I feel like they have become a part of my life.
A final reason of what makes my home, a home, is arguing with my big bro. I know it's not what you think, but somehow fighting with him just sometimes makes my anger go away because I can get my frustrations out. Sometimes it makes me even more mad, but I still love him. I know what you’re thinking and yes my parents hate it, but sometimes we don't fight and we help each other. No matter what he does I will love him forever.
That is what home means to me.
