Home

Home is very important to me. Some really special things in my house are pictures with me and my family in them. Some other special belongings are very old antiques from my great-great grandmother, like her pearls and fancy gloves. My sculptures from grade two are adorable like my sculpture of a “cat”. One particular family heirloom is so old and beautiful and I love it so much. It’s a doll made from china and it’s from the 1950’s. My grandmother gave it to my mom, then she gave it to me. My grandmother is a china doll and plate collector, so she has some really old things from her mother that are from the 1930’s . I have a lot of special belongings in my house that I value very much. When I go home at the end of the day, I feel safe and comfortable. One of the reasons that I feel safe is because I'm with my family and friends(and dog)! I feel safe around them because they are my family and they will protect me from any harm. And my friends, we just like to have fun together. My dog is a fluffy security system because she barks at EVERYTHING she doesn’t know walking by our house. She mostly barks at other dogs, but it still makes our house safer. My parents will do anything it takes to keep me and my sister safe, and that sometimes means being a little too cautious. They can get nervous when i’m going to the forest in the park with my friend, in broad daylight. My friends are awesome. For my birthday, this year, they all got me a bunch of candy that I’m still working on! Lucky for me, I know I can trust my family, friends and of course my dog to keep me safe. This is what home is to me.
