My Home
When I walk in the door
I see so much more than just a house.
I see a home filled with love
I see my fluffy dog
Who always gives love
But likes to bite gloves
Playing games with friends
Or watching family movies
My home is always the safest place to stay
When I am home alone
My house helps me not feel alone
My house is not perfect and either am I but we both try
My home is safest place I know
My fireplace keeps me warm
And my couch is so big it fits my whole family
When we go on the couch we snug up in blankets
We always watch movies and even play board games
My house was a house but when we moved in my house became a home and it didn’t feel alone
I am grateful I have a home because I am always warm
I feel bad for the homeless because they are alone
But if we made them a home they would’t be alone
They are also probably cold
But it's okay because we are making these poems to make a new home
In my home we try new things
If we mess up or do it right
It doesn’t matter because it’s all for fun
And when I go to bed
I walk up my stairs to where I have prayers
I go in my room and I am fast asleep soon
Knowing that my home is the best place I know
