What Home Means to Me

Home means everything to me. I’ve lived in mine everyday since 2016 and I never considered what it was like to not have a home until I went on the “Coldest Night of the Year” walk and fundraised money to help people who had to sleep in tents in the cold winter nights. I’m writing this essay to raise money to help homeless people find a home that is warm and safe. Me and my mother lived in a transfer home for a while after an abusive relationship with my father. Now I live on Mt. Washington in a small condo (but big enough) with my mom and my two cats. I hope this happens next year so I can make a onger and better essay on what home means to me. My school has raised over $5400 to help build a twenty-two room condo for homeless people to live in. I don’t think I’ll win the grand prize but at least ten dollars goes to charity, and if I do win that ould be amazing. I wish I had more time to write about how we can all help homeless people have a home. I hope this paper helps someone have a home. Goodbye!
