Home: My Special Place

When I push open the door and step on the floor I think about how I can help people more Home is the place where we fall And learn from our mistakes Home is where you grow up and get taught right from wrong In the end we all learn to get back up Home is where you are taught to give back and support those that are less fortunate Home is a place where memories are made and cherished A home is built from love, memories and dreams Dreams give hope and hope gives possibility Home is where you are loved no matter what Home is a place where I feel safe and secure Home is where I can be myself and let my guard down Home is a roof over my head and my safe haven My mom’s delicious aroma of her food warms my heart And makes me realize that I am home When I feel sad I always have someone to give me strength and support And to encourage me to carry on with life Each home is unique to everyone Home is something we all deserve It is special for all of us That is why we all need one.
