A Home is a Place

A home is not a place with 4 walls and a door, It is a place that is worth so much more. A home is a place where you can drink and eat, and at the end of the day, kick the shoes off your feet. A home is a place where you can laugh, cry, and sleep, It’s something in your heart you should forever keep. A home is a place with a strong foundation, And a place to create your imagination. Here you can have the warm embraces of your mother, And sit down to visit, and talk with one another. A home is not simply somewhere to stay, It's where you can make memories while you laugh and play. A home is a place where you can run from your fears, And a place to create smiles and shed tears. I am lucky to have a place of my own, Because some people don't have a place to call home.
