A Place they Call their Own

A home is a place… Where you live and forgive, Where you will never be misgived It gives me warmth and shelter from the dark days ahead The feeling of resting my tired head on my bed It's the welcome sign that greets us when we have been away, The feeling where comfort is found at the end of a long day. Our home is a place where we find hope. Somewhere we gather strength when it's difficult to cope A place of joy, laughter, and sometimes tears, A chest of memories passed down through the years The treasures that we will always keep, The feeling after we hear familiar sounds that make us fall asleep Some people don't have a home, a safe place to stay, Donations and foundations are producing money every day You can also make a difference by writing what home means to you, Just write the things that you feel, and what you knew Now that I have said what home means to me, I think you will agree that everyone deserves a place like this too.
