In My Home
To me,
home is where you feel the safest.
Home is where you are the bravest.
Where there is the smell of food,
that lightens the mood
from the soup that my mother brewed.
When we all sit down at the table
in my home that is very stable,
and it feels like I am in a fable,
that I am able to have this meal.
The warmth I feel
is very real.
To be with my family.
Can’t you see the appeal of a home?
The loud chatter of my brother.
Cooking with my mother.
The motivated ranting of my dad.
Talking to each other.
This is just another day,
in my home where I stay.
These average days I adore
they are quite simple and a little bit more.
A house has 4 walls, a door and a roof that will not fall,
but home is where you can fall
to get back and stand up tall.
Home is for one and all.
Home is a thing that will never fall.
