What Home Means to Me

Home sweet home.- the place someone finds just right. Home provides you with what you need and what you like while a house just provides you with what you need. It is a place that has four walls, one roof, one door, and a couple of windows. There's a difference. A house is just a place that a person can live in. There are tons of houses everywhere. However, a home is a special place. It is a place that you like but others might not. That is why different people call different places home. Like an elephant couldn’t call a house a home. It would prefer to call the forest home. So home is unique to the thing who calls it home. It is a place that is special to them. It’s just perfect. My home is safe and comfy. I find it very pleasant and it stays warm in the cold weather. I know every place in my home and each one is perfect for me. My bed, the backyard, this table, the living room, this entire structure is marvellous for me. For example, my bed always has a cozy blanket and fluffy pillow on top, all waiting for me. A window is right next to it making sleeping there even more fun. Sometimes in the night, I can see bright stars or when I am up early, I can watch the sun rise. Then there is the backyard, with nice chairs and a trampoline, the tomatoes and the other plants all growing happily, the nice tree- everything is fantastic. The list goes on and on about everything in my home. In the end, as the saying goes, “there is no place like home.”
