Home
A home is not just a building
It has more than just four physical walls.
It has walls of love and laughter
That protect you when evil calls
A home is where you sit
And with your family play
Games and read books and feel happiness
Hoping that life will always stay that way
I love my home with all my heart
Cause I am never judged.
I can be myself and no one
For that reason, will against me be begrudged
I know that when I am at home,
I have the freedom and right to speak
The deepest secrets of my soul
And find voiceless sympathy any day of the week
I feel that I am very lucky
To have a safe and comfortable home,
For there are people who haven’t lived in
And don’t even hope of ever having a home
I always feel very sad,
When I see people living on the street
For they can barely afford food
And they live on the cold concrete
And I think that everyone,
No matter their religion or race
Should have a proper home,
A safe, comfortable, and loving place:
A home just like mine!
