The Meaning of Home

Home. Is it simply a meaningless word, or is it something more? Does it mean the same thing to everyone, or different things to different people? Is the meaning hidden in material objects, or in the heart of a person? As humans, we know the meaning. It’s written deep inside our very souls and minds. Home could be a shelter; a building someone lives in. It could be a person; a family member, a loved one, a close friend. To some, home is a place connected with many fond memories. To others, its where their emotions, feelings and opinions reside. But to me, home is everything. Everything all at once. It means the world to me, bringing me comfort. It’s everyone, everything, in my life; the people I’ve met, the things I’ve learned, everything I feel. Home is truth, home is love, home is honesty, home is justice, and home is life and death. Home is everything. This is what home means to me.
