I run into my home. I put my stuff away. I hear the whining. My heart starts to race. I walk to where my Shepherd dog lays. I pick him up - he laps my face. I give him a pat. I grab our blanket. We curl up on the bed and watch a movie ‘Til we both fall asleep.
