A Place Called Home

Home. Home has different meanings to different people. For me, it’s a place where you should feel that you belong, where you're free to be yourself. Where the walls that surround you, nurture the curiosity inside. A place where the people at home with you won't judge you, they will love you. And you; love yourself. Home is a place where happy times are photographed and then framed on a wall. Where memories are cherished and laughter always lives. Home is a place where smiles try to be everlasting, and a lot of the time do. Maybe one day, everyone will be able to see that too. Not everyone has a home or a place where they belong. Even though they keep searching, it’s still hard to find one. Love can be hard to come, especially the love you have for yourself. That is why I wrote, to help someone find it. Homes come in many shapes, colours and sizes, just like they people that live inside them. We all have different values, like we live on different streets. Some houses have peeling paint or a couple missing shingles. Your home could be an apartment, a townhouse or a condo. Some homes may not look very appealing on the outside, which is why you never judge what is on the outside, you go off of what’s within.
