The Place I Call Home

The Place I Call Home The place I call home is not on the street, The place I call home is a place that warms my feet, The place I call home is a place where I have food to eat, You see friendly faces all around your street, My home is not a house, My home is a place fit for me, not a mouse, It is only a house, if you don’t feel connected to the place where you stay, My home is a place to be free and play, I have a place to stay, I have a place to safe for me every day, A home is a place that you can call your own, It is a place where you can freely roam, Now, as I write this poem, I can feel my warm home, My home is more than four walls and a roof, A home is a place where all is safe, Oh, I wish everyone had a home, A place where they can roam, A place where they too can write a poem, A place they can call home.
