Home is not a place…it’s a feeling.
There is a big difference between a house and a home. The term “house” in a dictionary would probably say something like “a building for human habitat”. It is not wrong, however, we aren’t here to talk about houses. Yes, they can be pretty helpful on a rainy day, but a home isn’t a place to seek shelter physically.
Whether you live in a big, bustling city, or in the quiet and remote countryside, a home is a safe place to stay. Since the day you moved in, the “house” has officially become your home. A home exists mentally, as you can’t just go to a random building and call it your home. No, it doesn’t work like that.
So what is a home? Well, it’s a place where you always feel eager to come back to everyday. A place to interact with your family, and make some lively memories. Where you watch television on a Friday night, or curl up with a good book.
Everybody’s home is unique and different, like there aren’t two snowflakes that look alike. Not all homes have to be in a building, some people live in their car, tent or maybe wandering from one place to another. Not all homes have to be fixed, because we don’t always live in one house all the time. Point is, feel like somewhere makes you feel safe and secure? Then you can present it as your home.
A home exists in your mind, you can’t touch it, steal it, but you can always feel it.
