What is truly important - Home
We take it for granted that home is just a place where we sleep and eat, but home is so much more important. It provides a place to spend time with friends and family, a place to remember those of the past, a place to spend the holidays in peace, and much more. I am so fortunate to have an amazing home myself. I have a place to wake up each morning and see my loving family. Most importantly, home provides a place to watch the magnificent sunrise each rising morning, and the spectacular sunset each falling night. But 1 in 8 Canadian households don’t have a roof over their heads.
I love my home because it’s always overflowing with diverse music like classical, jazz, pop, and k-pop. If my home didn’t have the music we do now, I wouldn’t be able to call it home. Everyone has a uniqueness to their home, but some don’t have a home.
I once watched a movie called The Pursuit of Happyness. It taught me how important home is and how much you suffer without one. Imagine, not having a place to sleep, not being able to eat fresh food and water.
What would you do without a home? Would you simply just sit on the street? Would you sell things to gain more money? We would be searching to find an answer that would hopefully be better than another, but eventually giving up. But we can change that and give the chance to hundreds of people. There won’t be people in need of a decent home and end up on the streets. The first step to helping those in need, is to know how we can change.
