Home is Where the Heart is

Home means feeling safe to be yourself and being in a calm state of mind. Home is love, home means feeling safe and secure, home means family. Home is so much more than just a place to sleep, it’s a safe place full of love. It’s a place to make memories with family and friends. Memories are more valuable than anything and your home is the best place to make those memories. It doesn’t matter where your home is, whether you live in an apartment, a house or even a cabin, all you need is to have your heart there. When you're home, you feel relaxed and safe, you feel protected and not everyone has that. In my home, we all feel open to express our feelings because we feel safe in our home. That is what home means to me. There is no real way to describe what home is because it’s a feeling. It is so sad to think that some people don’t have a home to not only sleep in, but to feel secure and protected in. For me, being home means being able to release all your stresses and worries. Therefore, we need to help those who don’t have the privilege of a home, they don’t have that special place for them to release their stresses. We take our home for granted because every day we get to come home and relax. If we didn’t, then maybe we would see that it is a privilege. Home is being comfortable and feeling loved. That is what home means to me!
