Family She lays down in a warm bed and pulls up a warm blanket. “Lily it’s time to get up”. Lily, wakes up in a shelter wishing that her dream would become reality. She says good morning to her mom and her sister, then goes down stairs to get some food. After she pulls on her oversized clothes,( they're a little big but it was nice of the person to donate them) she then says goodbye to her mom. She grabs her lunch which consists of a bologna sandwich and a banana. Lily walks to school thinking what it would be like to have a house, a car, and a fridge full of food. She knew her mom was trying her best, but she could not help, but wish she had more. When she arrived at school, she sees one of her friends. She runs over to her and says “hi’. The morning classes came and went in a blur. Then lunch came, then she sat down with her friends and pulled out her bologna sandwich. Again, Lily could not help but look at her friend’s lunches; they were so much better than hers. Then one of her friends broke her out of her thoughts. “Would you like one of my mom's homemade cookies”? “Sure” I said excitedly! Then she handed me a cookie and I said “thankyou”. My friend said “anytime”. That filled my heart right over the edge with love. The rest of the day also went by like a blur. Then Lily said “bye” to her friends, and started walking to the shelter. Lily was thinking “I may not have a house, but I do have a home”. And my home is with my friends and family.
