What Home Means to Me
Here I am in my Paris themed bedroom, I see the light coming from my window shining into my bedroom as I look at my tablet. The sound of air ventilation and the actors from my show blend together, emerging me into my show almost as if I were there. As I snap back into reality from the smell of the muffins my mom was making I decided to get up, the earbuds falling out as I got up from my bed, almost tasting the muffins as if I were eating them on the way to the kitchen. Home makes me very happy, I can eat food all I want without feeling guilty.
I have so many amazing memories at my home, I have had my home for my entire life so it’s normal I guess.. The memories at my home are very special to me because there is nothing quite like them, you can always recreate memories with your friends but you can’t with an older version of your home!
I had a house fire on Christmas eve. My dad’s friends helped rebuild our home and now my family and I live in the same house with different decorations.
Sometimes I hear about the saying Houses are better than homes, I agree and disagree with this statement. I believe that houses and homes are the same in their own ways, I agree with the statement Houses are better than homes because houses are when you are newer to the place you are going to live in and that’s a very exciting experience. I have to also disagree with the statement because a home is where you have settled into your place and you feel safe and comfortable in where you live. In the end, they both make people very happy, meaning, it depends on who you are and what you like for a house or a home to be more appealing to you.
A home is something that not everyone is capable of having. There are many people who live on the streets making it almost impossible to sleep. People like me are very lucky to live in a home. My home makes me feel safe and happy. For anyone reading this, if you don’t have a home, I hope you get a home that makes you feel safe and happy like mine does for me!
Home is a place to be yourself with no one there to judge you. I’m very lucky to have one!
