And a shelter from the cold and the sun.
It’s a place to make exciting memories,
With your friends and other families.
Home is a place where you can talk openly and freely,
Where most of the time, everyone is cheery.
It’s a place where you have ups and downs,
a place where you smile, and where you frown.
Home is a place that you can count hundreds of sheep,
And not be afraid to fall into a deep sleep.
But some people don’t have a place to stay,
Being scared and on edge all day.
Everyone deserves a place to call home,
If as big as a castle or as little as a dome.
Home is a place to spend time with your family,
And with the help of Habitat for Humanity,
Maybe you can have a home just like mine,
A place where you feel safe all the time.
