Home

Instead of a pencil in my head, I draw my home with a paint brush... First I draw a triangle for the roof. The roof keeps my family safe from snow, rain and storms. When the feeling of sadness or grumpiness strikes in my heart like the rain, home provides me a place of rest and makes me feel cozy and peaceful. Then I draw a square for the base of the house. The base goes with the roof so they stick together just like me and my family. Therefore, it protects my family from the cold so that we can all relax and my family can rest comfortably and happily. After I draw two tiny squares for the windows. Both windows are like my eyes. I can see outside through the windows. The light comes through the two windows and makes my family warm and cheerful. Finally I draw a long rectangular door. When I open the door I get excited every day. I can smell the delicious food that my mom makes after a rough day. In this way, the house gives me love and peace and makes me happy. It's like a nest that gives me rest. When I open this door and go outside, I have a new day. At the end I add colors. My home is my everything. I have my bed, the bathroom, kitchen and my family! Some people don’t have homes nor family. So I am grateful for everything I have. When I paint my home with cheerful and bright colors it feels like I'm playing with my dad, cooking with my mom and helping my grandparents. Like they say There is no place like home because home is my home and nothing can make it any better except family.
