What Home Means to Me

I am very grateful for my home. I’m very glad that I have a house. When I think about my home, I think about family, shelter, clothes, toys, my bed and my stuffies. I could go on forever! My house is more than just walls and a roof. It’s where my family and I bond together. My house makes me feel safe, warm, cozy, happy and grateful. There’s only 3 people that live in my house, my mom, my dad and I. I’m very thankful that we have lots of place to play outside. Some of the things I like to do in my house are: read, write stories, talk to my friends on the phone, play with toys, watch my iPad and play with slime. When I walk into my house, I don’t just see a carpet and a coat rack. I see my mom greeting me at the door every day when I get back from school. Some people may not have a safe home to live in. Think about it. If a kid goes to school, they would come back and not have a nice cozy bed to lay in at night. They wouldn’t have nice books to read, they wouldn’t be warm and cozy. That’s what Habitat for Humanity is all about. They can change that. Everyone deserves an amazing home.
