The Little Word Home
The little word home, only 4 letters.
That doesn’t mean home can’t carry a heap load of meaning.
Home is better than five star hotels, home is sweeter than vanilla ice cream.
Home is stronger than a gorilla and is more sturdy than a gingerbread house.
Home is filled with significance and spirit.
My home will never be perfect for I’m glad my home symbolizes purpose instead.
A home is where I replenish, imagine and smile,
A home is where I’m protected when I’m feeling fragile.
A home can shine through the darkness and bloom through all the worry.
A home can feel magical almost like your cat is a cute little fairie.
A home is protected by love and family whilst I can trust them more than a roof.
But the question I’m still asking is why does everyone want that perfect home?
When your home could be in the mud or an icecream cone!
Home should be full of purpose and care while that could even be the smell of bacon in the air.
Home is a fair place of amusement and fright, of comfort and joy and happiness every night.
For everywhere you settle it is your job to make it home.
Not with glue to keep it together, not with bricks to keep it strong but with the stickiness of family, the stickiness of friends and everything that you believe fits into the little (but mighty) word home!
