Home
Of all the places I can be,
My favorite is with my family.
They say a house has four strong walls,
But for me, Home is not something I can touch at all.
Home travels with me wherever I go,
Home is the City, the Farm, and the Sea.
Wherever our family travels,
Home comes with me.
It is where we gather to laugh and play,
Where we eat our meals and share our day.
Where we bow our heads to give thanks at night,
Before my parents hug us and turn out the light.
Home is not made from bricks or wood or glass that shines,
There isn’t a postal code or address that makes Home mine.
Home is made from the love and laughter my family shares,
It’s special people that make someone’s Home theirs.
Everyone deserves a safe place to grow,
A place to learn and be loved and feel happiness flow.
A Home is what I wish there to be,
For everyone on earth so their hearts can be free,
To love and be loved in a Home, just like me.
