My Heart Is in My House

I step into my lovely home. My house is a place that is my very own. It’s where I’m loved every day. It is the place where I will strive. My house is a place I have many memories of and many more will come. But what is home? It is my very own safe zone. Home is where my family is. My family loves me more than anyone. I feel grateful to have a shelter. And my heart aches for those who are homeless. I go to sleep safe and softly while others are scared they might not make it through the night on the road. I am so appreciative that I have a roof over my head while others live without any shelter. Most people don’t understand that we are very privileged. Many of us have been lucky enough to be born into a family with a fortune. For me, that is the true meaning of home.
