Home is who you're with
When I first think about the word home, I don't think about where I am, I think about who I’m with. If I lived in a mansion, by myself, I wouldn’t feel at home. As long as my family and I have a roof over our heads, and walls to protect us, I am at home. A house may give you shelter but a home gives you love and respect. It’s a place where you have someone to talk to when you need to let it all out, and someone to comfort you when you are mad or sad. Many people don't have a home. They don't have anyone to go to. They don't have anywhere to go to. And they don't have anything. The Habitat for Humanity charity is just amazing for doing this for everyone. That is what home means to me.
