Home, a Place Everyone Deserves

Home, a Place Everyone Deserves Home is a place I go after school, a place I have my dog waiting for me at the door, a place I am greeted by my family. When I think of home, I think of family, I think of warm blankets, I think of a delicious meal on a table. But when I think of home, I don’t always think of my house, I think of the sound of skates on a skating rink, a boat on the water, or reeling in a fish on a sparkling lake. Your home doesn’t have to be one specific place. When I think of home, I think of the wind blowing through my hair on a quad, or a soft, comfy bed in my camping trailer. Home is a place where you feel peace, a place you can relax, a place you are supported after a championship lose, an injury, or simply just a bad day at school. We are all super lucky to have a home, but there are hundreds of thousands of people every year single year in Canada that aren’t fortunate enough to have a pleasant place to sleep every night, or a place with food on a table every day. Everyone deserves a home, even something as small as a tiny apartment. Some people must sleep on the street at night. Barely living of the kindness of donations of strangers walking past. If you simply just enter this contest, you would be giving somebody a better chance at life, because everyone deserves a home.
