What is home?

What is home? Home is not a house, or a place. Home is so much more than that. Home is where I can laugh, love, live, relax and smile. You can watch a house be built, you can watch as the walls are built and painted,as every shingle and brick are perfectly placed, as the finishing touches are added; But even after that house is built, it is still not a home, not until a family moves in, and makes all of those powerful memories. Home is where I spoke my first words, rode my first bike, had my first Christmas, and first met my siblings. My home, and all the special memories that I have made there are so important to me because without them, I would never have grown to be the person I am today. Regardless of race, age, gender, sexuality, or status, everybody deserves a home where they can be happy, make memories, and love. I hope I have inspired you to love your home and your family, and thank you for reading my essay!
