The Comfort of Home

Home is a place where I can feel safe and comfortable. As the fireplace makes me warm, I realize that I am privileged to have a home where I have memories. I watch the street lights turn on from my living room, thinking how cold it must be. I’m lucky that I don’t have to be out there. I hear my mom’s voice when I wake up, it really comforts me when I know I have family, and a home where I feel safe and warm. It's not just the home that makes it feel safe, it’s the people who are in it. Home is the place where I had my first steps, my first words. My home is where I was raised, That’s what makes it feel so special.
