What Home Means to Me

Home has different meanings to different people. On the outside, a home is just a building made of wood, rock, or stone, but what makes a house a home is what happens on the inside. Home is where we are surrounded by people we love, and where we feel happy and safe. Home is a place to be together and to make memories that last a lifetime. Home is what we decide it is. Home doesn’t have to be a place; it could be a person that makes you feel safe, a feeling or a thought that makes you happy or maybe even a song, or a movie that brings you joy. But if you think of the word “home” as the literal meaning, then you should know that homes come in many shapes and sizes. It could be a mansion, a small log cabin, or maybe a tent, or a trailer parked in the woods. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if your house is big or small, it’s how you feel inside that matters most.
