One Thing More

To some home is a structure with walls A firm foundation that never falls Some say its protection from the storm A place to keep you dry and warm To some home is where you show off your stuff Thinking a blank wall is just not enough Home for me is so much more Of course you have the walls, roof and floor But that, to me, sounds incomplete You missed the part that makes home sweet Home wouldn't be such a nice place Without my amazing family filling up the space I will always be smiling and laughing If they’re there no matter what happens To some home is only a dream And many are losing hope it seems A home can be an empty place Where people feel like they're just taking up space To others home is a scary place to be A place they just can’t wait to leave My home for me is one thing more Something I am so thankful for
