What Does Home Mean To Me?

Home is a place where I feel loved and safe. Home can be a country where my family lives or it can be a house that I have lived in my whole childhood. To me home is a place that I look back on when I'm older. If I were to move to another house by myself it wouldn’t feel like home because my family wouldn’t be there. Home to me is a place that I would be sad to leave. Four years ago, I moved to Canada from Brazil, and it was hard because I had family there, a lot of close friends and a school that I really liked. I missed the teachers and all my friends. I felt this way because up until then, it was home. When I got to Canada, it was hard at first but then I saw an old friend, a loving teacher and I met some nice neighbours. Canada started to feel more like home. I have moved a lot in my life, and most of those places have felt like home. The reason is because I had my family and made friends. I have realized that home is where my family is.
