Fun Times We Have
Up the cracked driveway, into the garage
All the artwork on the fridge, including my old collage
With all of the light
And all of the peace
The table that we have our Thanksgiving feast
The beds that we sleep in, every night
Every bedtime story
Every “Sleep tight!”
All of the masks made on the sewing machine
All of the times that mom did a Super Clean!
The massive macaroni made in the kitchen
The Monopoly games where I felt like a chicken
My mom took so many pictures
That if we were to move
It would be like we had our old house
All over the room
We had some garage sales
And gave away some memories
Just for a couple of dollars
But the thought will survive for centuries
So many lessons taught on the desk in my room
So many sibling fights, that left us breathing fumes
A lot of the “It’s my turn to eat the last brownie!”
We went through fights, but we’re still a family
All the shows watched on a television set
All the pucks shot into the hockey net
All of us gathered ‘round the table, just the thought
Eating chips and drinking pop
Playing some games
FaceTiming our friends
I think we all wish this time at home never ends
